Question: All the pictures at the top of the Star Exercise page have both hands facing up, isn't that wrong because the left hand should be facing up and the right hand facing down?

Answer: What a good question! Universal Life Energy is always available and always giving to us. What is exciting is that so many people practice a form of the Star Exercise, though usually not consciously, just like those in the graphic at the top of the Star Exercise page! People do so intuitively by just throwing out their arms and opening themselves to Life. It is a Joy and is so Liberating. We are a living magnet when we open our body to the Force! Universal Life Energy enters in through both hands, circles through the body going where it is needed, and returns to the earth through the feet. The Life Center within us puts the Law of Attraction into action - like attracts like. Universal Life Energy is drawn into us, if we think about it or not, regardless of our hand position. Our entire body is a living conduit as a continuous flow of energy is established.

The Star Exercise is taught as a physical, conscious contact with the Force and was originated by The Lightbearer, Eugene Fersen. He shared one observation concerning this, and that was the way soldiers would lay on the ground and stretch out naturally in the star position after a long march to relax and refresh themselves. He was Inspired by this and manifested the Five Pointed Star Exercise with the body in a standing position which includes the added benefits of the magnetic energy from the earth and of oxygen, which is also full of Universal Life Energy, from deep breathing.

You can perform the Star Exercise before sleep, and is actually a great way to fall asleep. Just lay with your arms (easier with both palms up) and legs in the Star position. This opens you to the influx of the Force. Also observe the mind while in this position and note if you are inclined to draw in after a short time rather than remain open. The subconsciousness tries to dominate the situation, as it is self centered, and does not want to cooperate. If you have this insight, give gratitude to your Higher Self, the Superconscious.  

The Superconscious always remains open to the influx of the Force and never gets tired. We are inclined to close our self off from Universal Life Energy, Wisdom, Truth and Love because of the subconsciousness. This closing our self is similar to the sensation experienced when doing the exercise in a standing position and the arms get tired. In that practice, when you get tired simply lower your arms to waist level and (without breaking the contact) relax them with the hands cupped up in front of you; after resting return to the original position.

All Beings contact Universal Life Energy. In nature, the squirrel contacts it through the hair on its tail, the bird through its feathers, the flower through its petals, the crystal through its surfaces, the list goes on. There are as many ways to contact the Force as there are beings!

Question: Why are Lightbearers non-political?

Answer: In our present state of human evolution politics are divisive. There are usually two or more groups fighting to be in control, with a lot of contriving and dealing. This is the opposite of the Eternal, whose Law is Unity. The politics of today are concerned with wielding power and popularity in the human world. Popularity is known to be fickle!

There are also high ideals in politics; unfortunately those ideals are many times compromised. We do establish governmental laws through human politics in countries and towns, and we should do our best to live within them as they are the current human manifestation of Law in our world. However, the Universal Laws are more important because we live within them and are governed by them eternally. The human laws can be broken, the Universal Laws cannot.

Remember, the Great Law - God, the Absolute, governs us. The Great Law is not influenced by us, either through politics or feeble attempts at dealing. It is uncompromising, impersonal and universal for all beings. Nor is it fickle; it just is - eternally. We, all humans, create our troubles because we do not live within the Universal Laws. Yet, we have the opportunity and power to liberate our self over time from negative by being Law-Abiding! The FourSquare is the Law of Life; of Intelligence; of Truth and of Love; when we live and manifest these qualities we are in harmony with The Great Law, the Absolute, because they are the same qualities of the Absolute.

We should always do our best to be enthusiastic, wise, True, honest, non-scheming and caring. We are earthy, physical beings and as such we have to physically manifest these qualities in our actions in order to reap the harmonious reward of the FourSquare. Just thinking about it or imagining it doesn’t do it. There is no ‘making deals’ with The Great Law. Lightbearers do their best to stand in Law, be ‘non-dealing,’ non-scheming and thus, non-political.
